Hummingbirds in the Snow

We had a bit of a snowstorm here this week but that didn't stop our Hummingbird family from coming to the feeder. We saw them as much or even more than usual. We tried to change out the feeder every few hours because their sugarwater was feezing quickly. We left the floodlights on near the feeder and they used it to keep warm. They ate until dark.

There was a feud going on all day between these 2... or 3. You can see the feud taking place from about 1:00 to about 1:40.

Aeries And Grandma Rose Make Cookies

Grandma Rose invited Aeries to come over and help her make cookies. Aeries couldn't wait!!!

Driving to Grandma's house, Aeries talks about the coffeeshop's sign that somebody ran into, gets all the crumbs out of the french fry box, teaches Grandpa how to sing and dance, wonders how the chimney/Santa thing works, calls Grandpa a 'loggin' loco' (a train), looks for her fruit things, tells Grandpa to be 'brave of bees', discusses termites, and.....hi Grandma!!

Aeries serenaded us while the cookies were baking.

Nothing beats warm chocolate chip cookies.

Afterwards there was time to play some hide-and-seek.

Grandma Rose and a wiggling giggling blanket. Not sure where Aeries is.

We followed this Kingfisher down the telephone wire for quite a while before he finally grew tired of being followed and flew off for good.

The awesome Wallowa Mountains in the background makes every picture beautiful.

Awesome Eagle Cap. It's magnificence is beyond words.
