Conner in Chelan

All Aeries, All the Time

4-month olds don't get any cuter than this....or this......or this. And of course we aren't biased at all!

Scooter = Guinea Pig

We're a little short on funds this month, so in exchange for additional kibble Scooter has agreed to undergo an experimental neutering procedure we found on the internet.

Chelan Vacation!!

Cousin Todd, Stacie, and Quinn were kind enough to let us stay with them all week.

The first day we went to Ohme Gardens.

The second day we drove the back way to Chelan Falls (and stopped to look at the Falls on the way (that's Syl in pink)) and had a picnic in a little park outside of town.

The third day we took Conner up to the Butte, where he saw a 'dust tornado' and touched a lizard!

Conner said going to the Butte was "like being in an airplane except that your feet are on the ground". He's right!

Our last evening in Chelan we hung out in a little park down at the far end of town.

We stopped at Rocky Reach Dam on the way home to view fish swimming up the ladder.

Dinner with Aeries

Aeries had a lot of catching up to do. Lots of big news. Here she is telling Grandma Syl all about things.

Here are 3 more short clips from that same conversation. Here's a precious smile for Grandma. Here she and Grandma deconstruct Elmo. And then there's this one... I love the look on her face at the beginning and then how about 15 seconds in she points at Grandma as if to emphasize an important point. LOL!!

She talked and talked and talked and that made her all tuckered out and so she had to take a short nap to recover.

Kelsey

Kelsey stopped by the other day for a visit and a quesadilla.

Hottest Day of the Summer

On the hottest day we've had so far this summer, Conner and his friend Ashley spent the day swimming.

This should be an Olympic event!

Muscle Beach, WA.

Great hang time Conner!

Summer in the Northwest

Today the date is seven-seven-seven. Some people treat this as a significant date but to us it's just another gorgeous summer day in the Northwest.

Evening Outing to Coupeville

Grandpa Harold and I took the ferry across to Whidbey Island to the mid-week gospel meeting. Click here to see us pulling away from the dock.

That's Mount Baker off in the distance.

An added bonus was the beautiful weather, which makes for great picture taking!

Terry and Kelsay in front of the meeting place just outside of Coupeville. A very quiet and peaceful area.

The sunset was breathtaking.

Conner's 5th Birthday Party

Today Conner turned 5 and yesterday his Mommy and Daddy threw him a big party. Boy was it fun! First a couple hours at 321 Bounce playing and celebrating, and then back home for more celebrating with dinner and presents and more cake. 5 seems like a really good year for presents. It seemed like the perfect combination of educational toys and books and stuff and fun toys and books and stuff. 5 is a great age!

Grandma entertained everyone with her shadow puppeteering skills. We think this is a horse.

Jenn and Uncle Lane tried to figure out one of Conner's toys. Jenn had lots of success. Uncle Lane was clearly overmatched and gave up shortly after this picture was taken.

Conner went for an after-dinner walk to burn of a few calories...and show Uncle Lane where the worms live. Worms are cool.

Then it was time to chill with Grandpa and watch a video on his new DVD player.
