Mt. Shuksan and Mt. Baker

We went antique shopping in Sedro Wooley this afternoon and ended up at Mt. Baker. LOL Last time we only went up as far as Mt. Shuksan so this time we went all the way up to Mt. Baker, including a little bit of a hike to get the best view. It was so worth it!

Trip to Mount Baker / Mount Shuksan

We drove to Mt. Baker today because it was sunny and we wanted to get out of town. Original destination was Ferndale, but we decided to 'go for it' after we passed Bellingham. Ended up approaching it from the northwest - we were close enough to the Canadian border that I got a 'Welcome to Canada' text. I thought that was funny. But wow, what a great little day-trip! We got to the ski resort just as the sun was setting and it was unbelievably gorgeous. Here's my favorite pictures, taken with my new phone. Not bad for a phone! The moon over Mt. Shuksan was quite a show!
