Daytrip to the Seattle Waterfront

We took advantage of this sunny day and headed down to the Pike Place Market this morning. We hadn't been down there in a couple years so we were anxious to go down again. We were impressed by the improvements along the Seattle waterfront and it seemed like overall things were cleaner. We also saw some SPD and some 'rent a cops' here and there and that made us feel quite safe and comfortable. I didn't take any pictures of the yummy lobster roll or the mouth-watering bag of warm cashews or the delicious salted caramel and coffee gelato, but I did take a few pictures of some other things.

A Sunny Trip to the Zoo

I had the day off (MLK Day) and so the girls and I made a quick trip to the zoo. It was a lot of fun and the weather couldn't have been more cooperative!
