Pink Pedal Car Update

Saturday was a warm day and so Syl put several coats of clearcoat gloss on the pedal car. Once it had dried we started putting on the stickers. That was the fun part!! I put the whole thing back together tonight, and now we are at the touch-up point....tightening screws and finding a windshield (or fixing the broken one that we have) a hubcap and a steering wheel medallion (I think we'll probably end up making those ourselves). We'll let you know when it's 100% complete and Aeries is taking it for a spin. Might be a few months yet!

A few more coats, two-tone the hood, put it back together and it will be ready!



Soon it will be fit for a pretty princess!

Aeries and Conner Spend the Night

Aeries and Conner get along so well... It's really fun to watch them play together. Conner is very kind and patient with her and she thinks everything Conner does is first-rate. Last night we brought out Conner's toy buckets, and Aeries really thought she had hit the jackpot. She was playing so hard and having so much fun that she was literally sticky with sweat. They played full-speed ahead until lights out...and when it was lights out BOOM, they were both asleep in a hurry!



Aeries' pink pedal car is almost ready for painting so this weekend we let her take it for a 'test drive'. She gave a very strong positive reaction to it and even pounded her hands on the hood a few times (similar to big-people kicking the tires I guess).

Aeries Tunes Up for Carnegie Hall

Last weekend Aeries showed great promise at the piano and we were all thrilled. She obviously has what it takes to become a great concert pianist.




Our friend Reid found a pedal-car destined for the landfill at a job site a few weeks ago and was kind enough to pass it along to us. It has a few missing pieces but it pedals easily and is very clean. We're going to track down 4 fender lights, 1 hubcap, a better windscreen, and repaint the body. Aeries isn't quite ready for this yet but she will be soon!



This weekend she was here and she was good as gold. We just have so much fun with her. She's crawling now, and it was so cute to watch her follow Grandma around the house from room to room. This weekend she was definitely Grandma's girl.




She hung out with cousin Conner on Saturday for a while over at Great-Grandpa and Grandma's house. They played electric football together. Conner is very patient and sweet with Aeries and they clearly really like each other a lot. It's sweet to watch them together. She mostly liked putting her hand on the gameboard and feeling the vibration.
