Daytrip to the Seattle Waterfront

We took advantage of this sunny day and headed down to the Pike Place Market this morning. We hadn't been down there in a couple years so we were anxious to go down again. We were impressed by the improvements along the Seattle waterfront and it seemed like overall things were cleaner. We also saw some SPD and some 'rent a cops' here and there and that made us feel quite safe and comfortable. I didn't take any pictures of the yummy lobster roll or the mouth-watering bag of warm cashews or the delicious salted caramel and coffee gelato, but I did take a few pictures of some other things.

Afternoon in Seattle

We wanted to get out of town for the day so, despite the rain, we drove to Seattle for a bowl of gumbo at one of our favorite restaurants. Well, it was closed...and by closed I mean the gone forever kind of closed. We decided to go to Pike Place Market instead. We bought some warm cashews, a gyro, some coffee, and walked around that area of town for a while. Perfect for a rainy day! It turned out to be a very relaxing afternoon!
