Signs of Spring!

Crocus, blades of grass pushing up through the snow, perennials making a new start, Scooter scouting out a site for this year's latrine... they all give us hope for spring!

Lily and Scooter

Lily and Scooter sleep their lives away.

Scooter is not amused.

Lily hides from life. Too much scary stuff to deal with.

Scooter waits his turn like a good kitty.

Scooter says "Hands off, kid".

Scooter = Guinea Pig

We're a little short on funds this month, so in exchange for additional kibble Scooter has agreed to undergo an experimental neutering procedure we found on the internet.

Lily and Scooter

Here are Lily and Scooter enjoying an after-dinner beverage.
Lily is the grey one on the left. She is easily spooked - she is truly a 'scaredy-cat'. When company comes over Lily hides by the waterheater, trembling with fright. Some people think we don't really have a grey cat because they've never actually seen her. She is quite comical and a real cuddlebug - as long as she's known you for quite some time. Lily's hero is Scooter, and if Scooter is doing something she has to be there doing it right along with him (see picture).
Scooter is the black monstrosity on the right. This picture does not do justice to his girth. Scooter loves company and he enjoys mingling with them. He weighs approximately 20 pounds. When you view him straight on he looks like a pregnant goat. He is very loving and gentle, and he has an extremely loud purr. He often gets annoyed by Lily's persistent hounding but he eventually relents and they are always still friends at the end of the day.
